Acne Academy Retains Signature Communications

Acne Academy Retains Signature CommunicationsSignature Communications has been appointed by the Acne Academy, a collaborative faculty formed by a multi-disciplinary group of healthcare professionals specialising in dermatology and more specifically, to support, develop and promote the organisation as it grows following its inception in 2009.

Following the demise of the Acne Support Group in 2007, there has until now been no patient representation in the field of acne or the provision of independent information and guidance on the condition for both consumers and healthcare professionals alike.  The Acne Academy aims to fulfill this void and provide independent, accurate information for patients, as well as evidenced based clinical advice for healthcare professionals.

Signature’s remit initially includes the development of a dedicated patient and healthcare professional website and will widen in 2011 to incorporate additional direct to the patient activities to raise the profile and understanding of acne.  The agency reports to the Acne Academy lead, Alison Layton, Consultant Dermatologist, Harrogate.
